Our vision is to draw inspiration directly from nature and develop technologies with the elegance that nature itself would design. With huge enthusiasm, we dedicate ourselves to exploring natural principles, particularly in the field of metal-microbe interactions, regardless of whether these metals are found in ores or waste. We seek ways to utilize this knowledge for the benefit of people, but with deep respect for other organisms.

We are company that applies cutting-edge research in environmental biotechnology to real-world challenges. Our work is organized around two complementary pillars: sharing knowledge with the world and advancing the science that makes it all possible.
Environmental Education & Training
We believe science should be accessible to everyone. Through our science popularization initiatives, international conferences, and EU project training programs, we make the wonders of environmental science visible and understandable to children, adults, and organizations alike.
Environmental Biotechnology Research
Our research explores how microorganisms interact with metals to recover valuable materials from waste, produce nanoparticles, and remediate contaminated environments. We also investigate the use of electromagnetic fields to enhance biotechnological processes.
Where We Find Value
We seek raw materials where they have not traditionally been expected – in waste streams and soil. This approach is especially important given the growing global shortage of critical raw materials needed by industry.
How We Work
We combine and build upon existing biotechnologies to design processes that extract maximum value from every input material. Our goal is to minimize – or eliminate – waste entirely, turning what others discard into valuable resources.
