She has almost 30 years of experience in research in the field of environmental biotechnology in Slovakia and abroad. In her research she combines industry with sustainability principles – from raw materials treatment, through biotechnological processes to environmentally friendly technology development. She ranked as the World’s Top 2%most-cited scientists in 2020, 2022-2025by Stanford University and Elsevier. In addition to Slovak universities, she has also lectured at several European universities. With over 200 scientific articles published in international journals or conferences, over 1300 citations, 9 books and 2 patents she is renowned expert in her field. On a long-term scale she works as an expert for European project evaluation for various European institutions, including the European commission. Besides research she actively popularizes science among various age groups.
