We are happy to announce the 6th international scientific conference Biotechnology and Metals that provides a forum for experts from various fields to discuss the newest trends in environmental technology and biotechnology application for raw materials processing, metal recovery, waste treatment and environmental protection.
Researchers from both academia and industry are welcome to join the conference in High Tatras, Slovakia from October 10th to 11th, 2024.
As a satellite event to this meeting the BioPrep Project team will organize a half day kick-off meeting (October 11th, 2024) at the same venue.

PROCEEDINGS PAPERS
After a review all papers will be published in the e-Proceeding. After the conference, the selected papers will be published in a special issue of Nova Biotechnologica et Chimica (indexed in SCOPUS database). All papers must be submitted in English.

FEES
Conference fees before June 30, 2024 250,- € (students 200,- €). After June 30, 2024 280,- € (students 230,- €).
The conference fees include e-proceedings, refreshment during all coffee breaks, 2x lunch, 1x dinner, participation in all sections, and conference materials. Special diet request (allergy or food intolerance) please ask during accommodation reservation directly in the hotel. In case you will not stay in the congress centre ACADEMIA, request special diet by e-mail to luptakal@saske.sk.

STORNO
In case of storno we will return 80% of conference fee untill 31st of August, 2024, 50% of conference fee untill 30th of September, 2024. After September 30, 2024 there is no possibility to return the conference fee.

The Biotechnology and Metals Conference will be held at SAS Congress Centre ACADEMIA in High Tatras, Stará Lesná, Slovakia, beautiful mountains resort in North Slovakia that is well-connected to public transport system. See more details

Accommodation for conference participants is offered directly in SAS Congress Centre Academia.

PROGRAM
Oral presentation should not exceed 15 minutes including discussion.
The conference room will be equipped with a PC for slides in PowerPoint and an overhead projector. Use only standard fonts in your preparation of PowerPoint presentation and be sure to save your presentation as PowerPoint. Please bring your talk on a USB flash disk. Please, identify yourself as the author who is going to give an oral presentation during the registration process. You will be informed when you should load your PowerPoint presentation to the PC (usually at the beginning of the day of your presentation or at least half an hour prior to your session).
Maximum poster size is 90 cm x 80 cm
The authors can set up posters from beginning of the registration process. The best poster in term of the content and the other in term of the design will be awarded.
